Documents You Must Prepare

The documentation forms the backbone of any visa application. For French visa applicants in Dubai, you’ll typically need the following:

• A valid UAE residence visa
• Passport with at least two blank pages and valid for 6+ months
• Completed visa application form
• Recent passport-sized photos
• Proof of travel bookings (flight and hotel reservations)
• Travel insurance covering medical emergencies
• Proof of financial means (bank statements, salary certificates)

Organizing these documents carefully reduces the chances of delays or requests for additional paperwork.

Biometric Appointment & Submission

All applicants must schedule a biometric appointment through the official visa application centre. During this visit, fingerprints and a photo are captured. It’s important to arrive on time with all your documents, as missing items may lead to rescheduling or rejection.

Fees and Processing Time

Visa fees vary depending on age and visa type, and they are usually paid in local currency at the application centre. Processing time for a short-stay Schengen visa to France from Dubai typically takes around 15 calendar days, though it can vary based on volume and season.
