Hey girls! Is anyone else struggling with retention this month? My room temp is sitting around 24°C with humidity floating between 55-65%. My usual glue (I've been using it for over a year) seems to be drying way faster than it used to, and my clients are coming back with half their sets gone after just 2 weeks. I’m constantly adjusting my drop size, but it feels like the adhesive is curing before I even place the extension onto the natural lash. Should I switch to a slower glue for the summer, or is there a trick with humidity control I'm missing? Any advice is appreciated!

Oh, I feel your pain! High humidity speeds up cyanoacrylate curing drastically. If your glue is normally a 1-2 second drying time, in 65% humidity it’s probably flash-curing in under half a second. That's why you're getting weak bonds.
Before buying a new glue, try dialing down your room humidity if you can (a dehumidifier saved my life last summer). Also, make sure you're refreshing your glue drop every 15 minutes max instead of 20-30. If that still doesn't work, then yeah, definitely grab a glue formulated for higher humidity/slower cure times." -
Thanks! I actually tried a dehumidifier yesterday, but it barely made a dent because of the weather here. Refreshing the drop more often helped a little bit today, but I still feel like I'm racing against the clock. I think I just need to order a slower adhesive specifically for high humidity days. Does anyone have a favorite brand/store for reliable glues that don't go bad after a week of opening? Most of my local suppliers are currently out of stock.

I had the exact same issue last month when our AC broke down! I ended up switching to a slightly slower drying adhesive (around 2-3 sec dry time under normal conditions, which turns into ~1 sec in high humidity).
