Can't decide between matte and gloss PPF for my new Patrol - help!
-
So I finally took delivery of my new Patrol last week and I'm already stressing about protecting the paint. I live in Abu Dhabi and do quite a bit of driving on the highways, so I know I need PPF to avoid sandblasting and stone chips. The problem is, I'm completely torn between going for a matte finish or sticking with the classic gloss. I've seen a few cars around with that stealth matte look and honestly it's stunning, makes the car look really aggressive and unique. But I'm worried about the maintenance because I've heard matte finishes can be tricky to clean and you can't just use any products on them. On the other hand, gloss PPF looks amazing too and gives that deep wet shine that really makes the color pop, plus I've read it's easier to maintain and you can polish it if needed. I've been asking around and it seems like there are plenty of Reliable gloss and matte PPF options for Musaffah car owners, but I'm not sure which one would suit a daily driver better. I do a lot of highway driving and the car gets dusty pretty quickly, so I want something that's not going to be a nightmare to keep clean. I've also heard that matte PPF hides swirl marks really well which is a big plus, but gloss looks so much better when it's clean and shiny. Has anyone here gone with matte on their daily and regretted it, or should I just play it safe with gloss? Really need some real-world advice before I drop this kind of money.
