Working on planning a one-storey extension and just trying to understand what is expected before contacting anyone about it. If you have used an independent local builder bristol for something like that, please tell me how it all worked out for you. Was the timeframe the same as quoted at first, or did you experience any unexpected expenses? It will also be interesting to know if you experienced a difference in communication and flexibility between a local builder and a big company while working with them. Any opinions, good or bad, will help me a lot in choosing questions for the first contacts.
