We're finally moving forward with building a patient facing app for our clinic and setting up calls with a few teams offering healthcare app development services this week. Problem is I don't really know what separates a good first conversation from a wasted one, especially since none of us on the internal side have gone through this before.
Trying to figure out what actually matters early on:
What questions reveal whether they've handled real patient data before versus just generic apps
How much detail we should be prepared to share upfront versus holding back until later stages
If you've sat through these initial calls before, what did you wish you had asked in that very first conversation?
