Hey, I’m Marcus van Wattum. If you’ve spent any time in West Hollywood, you already know it’s a community that’s bursting with energy and creativity. It feels good to belong here. Life in this city is never boring there’s always something new to see or do, and I find myself inspired by the people all around me.
Most days, you’ll find me at Euro Design Auto Craft, working as part of the crew at an Auto Body Shop Hollywood locals trust. My job? Taking cars that are banged up, dented, or worse, and bringing them back to life. There’s real satisfaction in this work getting your hands dirty, focusing on the details, and slowly watching a vehicle take shape again. No two days are ever the same, and every project is a new challenge that keeps me sharp.
What I love most is knowing that when a customer drives out of our garage, they’re not just getting a [fixed] car they’re getting back something they care about, something they rely on every single day. Maybe it sounds simple, but that’s what keeps me coming back.
But I’m not all about work. When I want to clear my head, I head to the racetrack. There’s nothing quite like the adrenaline of pushing a car to its limits just you, the machine, and the road. It’s a rush and helps me let off steam after a tough week. I’ve also got a not so secret soft spot for the strange and unexplained. Ghost stories, UFO documentaries, anything mysterious I’m fascinated by it all. It keeps my imagination alive.
Travel is another thing that drives me whether I’m exploring a new city or hiking through unfamiliar woods, I’m always chasing something new. Every trip broadens my outlook, and I love bringing fresh perspectives back into my personal and professional life. I’m also big on learning. My Master’s in Business Administration from California University was just the start I keep reading, growing, and adapting, because I never want to stand still.
Of all the things in my life, family means the most. A simple meal together or laughing over an old story beats any grand adventure. Their encouragement shapes everything I do from the passion I bring to Euro Design Auto Craft, to the curiosity I carry into every new endeavor. Whether I’m working at our Body Shop Beverly Hills or diving into one of my many hobbies, my goal’s always the same: keep learning, stay inspired, and do my best every single day.
