MongoDB vs MySql

I'm doing a project it contains a flutter android app and a laravel website . I want to connect both of this through API. Currently my choice is Node.js api and Mysql database . but most of nodejs tutorials are base on mongoDB. If I choice my DB as mongoDB whats different between mysql and MongoDB ?
If I choice mongoDB what about my er diagrams and mapping , normalizations ?
Can I retrieve data ascending order and descending order ?
What about trigles views ?
What is the better DB for me ? I never used MongoDB . -
