macOS can restore deleted files through Trash, Time Machine, and the recovery cloud options compatible with macOS. If the file has not been deleted, simply locate it and press Put Back. In case you cannot find the file in the Trash, simply launch Time Machine after opening the directory where the file used to be located. Simply locate a version of the file that existed before its deletion and press Restore. If you have iCloud Drive installed on your Mac, check out the Recently Deleted files in iCloud Drive to see if your files are available there.
